1. Benjamin Franklin said
"Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety,
deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Explain how that statement applies to Americans since September 11, 2001,
in 100 words or less.
2. The Constitution requires all federal, state, and local employees,
including military, to swear an oath to uphold our Constitution.
Most of them are too lazy to read the document
that they swear to uphold, but that's another issue.
Should they be required to read the Constitution first?
Once they're no longer so employed,
do you think they still have that duty to uphold?
Or does their separation from service end that duty?
